Project Description
This cozy home is nestled in the trees on Iron Mountain Road near Mt. Rushmore. The large rough sawn lumber that has been used to construct the covered patio and roof system has been imported from Washington. Creatively we have made the foundation and the fireplace out of rock which is a dry stack Autumn Flame and Gold Creek mixture. There are pine tongue and groove ceilings with reverse board and batten, shiplap, and half log siding for the interior wall finishes. Each bathroom has been designed with custom tile to compliment the décor. We have used stained concrete floors in the great room and the kitchen. The bedroom floors are a custom scraped 1 x 8” pine. The rustic exterior is a board and batten pine with corten steel roofing. We strive to keep the environment first with the our homes.
